The head was the first part of the boat that I made....I dreamt it one night, made it over the next few days......then hung it in my studio at the height of 4 meters. Over the next months the longboat grew up towards the head.
The wind vane was a sign that the Vikings were attacking....it was traditionally a decorated quarter circle but I have ellaborated a little.
