where

there is a hollow spot
from which I tremble blue
not that I ask for wit
but just a smile from you
a hand that scrapes the glass
is but a flash of light
my heart a place to pass
the emptiness of night
drink up the day of peace
leave out the tethered soul
run in to ancient friends
half fill an empty hole
a name is on a lip
a catch is almost grasped
a tear becomes a sip
a memory is passed
