Hi there..

Thanks to lots of help from people in Slough, the tree sculpture for the town square is well under way in the studio of Giusseppe Lund. By Easter 1999 a life size tree of birds made in forged stainless steel will be erected to celebrate Fresh growth and living together in a community.

Would you like to help......we need paper cut outs of your interpretations of birds. Any view, shape or size up to 600mm wide.

At present many schoolchildren are making their shapes ready for some workshops in January when Giusseppe will help them turn the paper ideas into metal.There will be public workshops in the Town Square at weekends.

You may want to cut out an accurate profile or make an abstract interpretation from patches....anything is welcome. Your shapes will be cut out in stainless steel and you can help to shape them with hammers and wooden blocks. They will then be polished so that you can later colour them with heat.
